1. Gather Your Materials
- Nail glue
- Fake nails in the right size for each finger
- Nail file and buffer
- Cuticle pusher
- Top coat (optional for extra shine and durability)
2. Preparing Your Nails
- Clean your nails thoroughly to remove any oils. You can use a non-acetone polish remover to make sure thereโs no residue.
- Push back your cuticles using a cuticle pusher. Avoid pushing too hard to prevent nail bed damage.
- Lightly buff your natural nails to create a rougher surface, which helps the glue bond better with the fake nails.
3. Choosing and Sizing the Nails
- Lay out your fake nails in order before starting. Make sure each nail fits perfectly to your nail bed size.
- File the edges of the fake nails to get a precise fit if needed, as close-fitting nails will stay in place longer.
4. Applying the Glue
- Dot a small amount of glue onto your natural nail and a little on the fake nail. Make sure itโs even.
- Position the nail quickly and press it down for about 10-15 seconds, pressing firmly around the edges to prevent air bubbles.
5. Finishing Touches
- File any excess edges of the fake nails to create a natural shape.
- Apply a clear top coat for a glossy finish and extra protection
